I am a native New Yorker, born and raised in New Rochelle up in Westchester. I studied painting, drawing & printmaking at Carnegie Mellon University, and received my Masters in Art Education from The Massachusetts College of Art. I’m an art teacher and fine artist with 30 years of experience in public and private education, private lessons, and within a senior living facility. Over the years I’ve taught more than 16,000 students in most every possible scenario. I’ve taught throughout the Boston Area in Westchester County, and all around New York City.

As a working artist, I have experience in a wide range of materials and techniques, and a broad knowledge of art history and concepts. My work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums. I have work in the permanent collections of The New York Public Library and of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Over the years, I have been exposed to many different philosophies and approaches to art and education. Through this varied experience, I have refined my skills and practices, and have developed an art program which encourages true self-expression, autonomy and agency. In my classroom, students of all abilities are empowered to tap into the joy inherent in the creative process.

This program is the culmination of years of deep engagement with artists of all ages, and a lifelong passion for the world of art. It feels like everything I've experienced and learnt in my career so far has led me to this exact place.  Now more than ever, I am excited about teaching students, learning from them, sharing ideas and engaging in a true community program.
